So much comfortable, but change sound signature a little bit
The original velour pad on my 6xx makes my ear itchy. Was looking at various sheepskin options. Bought Dekoni leather earpad for my other headpones before, was a little surprised to see them charging $70 for this. Glad this cheaper alternative is available, and it seems to have great workmanship.Real leather simply feels better on skin, and they don't break down like pleather (can't believe Dokoi is charging $60 for pleather).Other reviewers are correct that they change sound signature a little bit. The sound is warmer, slight drop on treble. Details are still all there. For me, the sound change is not a bad thing. My HD6xx sounds and feels more relaxed.

Really happy so far. I just hope they last.
Update Oct 2024: Just hit the one year mark with these and I am sitting at my desk using headphones every day. They look pretty much brand new. I was expecting they would peel or the seams would break eventually, but they are perfect. So much better than the gross cloth pads for the 58x and I don't think it did anything to the sound signature. These are great.Original review:Used on 58x headphones. I wish I had done this a lot sooner. I still had the original pads, and had been washing them once or twice a year. I was worried about changing the sound but I only noticed a slight change at first, if at all. The headset looks and feels more premium versus with the original pads. I hope this material won't feel as grimy as the cloth pads that absorb moisture. These feel nice and soft in hand, wearing them they are maybe slightly less soft than the originals (but those were broken in), or just the different feel of the material against your head. They installed fine and do not pop out as long as you seat them all the way in. I will be totally happy with these as long as they don't start flaking or coming apart at the seams any time soon.

Better than I thought
I've been around the audiophile community long enough to know that it's full of snake oil and placebo. On the one hand I know that soundwaves can interact with different materials in different ways, so going from velour to lambskin could definitely have audible effects on the sound signature, on the other hand alarmist reviews like "it destroyed my soundstage and imaging" come off as the typical alarmist audiophile hypochondria whenever you deviate from communal best practices: in this case that OEM pads are designed for the headphones and therefore the only good pads to use. Unfortunately I needed new ear cups for my hd6xx again and I was personally a little fed up with paying $50 for $5s of material that will last, at best, 2 years of routine use and, knowing I could just return these to Amazon if I didn't like them, decided to just pull the trigger. The earpads arrived in a basic, no-frills box. My first impressions in-hand were that they felt nice and seemed like real leather. Got them installed and upon putting them on-head I immediately noticed that the headphones had regained some comfort and my ears now had some space, both lost to the OEM cups flattening and losing their shape over time. The material is very comfortable to my head. My ears do feel slightly warmer but it's pleasant and the fact that they're no longer pressed against the driver is a significant improvement to comfort. So far so good.Plugged them in to my Cavalli Tube Hybrid amp and began streaming some hd music I was very familiar with from qobuz to my smsl su-9 dac. The sound signature was different, but not exceptionally so. More v-shaped, with more emphasis on the top and bottom, but it certainly doesn't sound bad. Soundstage and imaging were still fully present, as opposed to what others have described. I've spent over a week with them at this point; I've listened to hundreds of songs as well as watched films and played some games and...I really like them! The changes to the sound signature weren't nearly as dramatic as some reviewers made it out to be, and still what I would describe as great, while the comfort is improved over the OEM cups. Additionally they feel like they are better quality, only time will tell if they are, however at half the price of OEM pads even an equivalent amount of use out of them would be an improvement.
