Smallrig doing what it does best. Quality black real leather half case that is an exact fit and leaves all camera controls and port doors accessible. The rear screen is unhindered. Secures in the tripod socket, with its own socket-within-a-bolt to use on a tripod with the case on, just like the old days. The tripod bolt has a D-ring and a wide coin slot. The D-ring folds flush and doesn't hang loose. Neat design touch. The hinged battery door cover closes with a reassuring click.Some product images show the stitching as contrasting/lighter. This is probably a reflection off the thread from studio lighting, as in real life the stitching is black.The included strap is black PU and comes with round split rings. Not used as I already have a strap, but looks perfectly OK. As a bonus there was a red soft-shutter button in the packaging which I hadn't expected. I already have a silver one, but handy as a spare or a splash of colour.Just what I was looking for. Reminds me fondly of (half of) the CF-27 case for my original Nikon FE.15% off too, so great value at £28. Recommended.

As a (relatively) early adopter of the X100VI, I had to find a cheap case to use while I waited for my favourite one to be updated. This one did the trick, and I was pleasantly surprised by its quality and fit when considering the price point. I took down one star due to the obvious branding on the front, which ruins its otherwise understated look.

Great strap and button.Unfortunately the case doesn’t fit my X100V

I ordered this case for the SMALLRIG X100VI I inherited from my mother.On the positive side, it's a joy to insert this lovely camera into an appropriate case at last. I love the retro look and feel like Inspector Poirot.On the negative side those older leather cases were manufactured to leave the top of the camera exposed, so I'm paranoid now about scratches, etc. Also, the camera has a tendency to 'tip' when it's around my neck, and I cannot seem to cure that.A beautiful quality case specifically made for the SMALLRIG X100VI, so don't try to use it, apart from the straps, for a different model.

I did not use the strap that comes with this, because I already have PD anchors on my camera.But the case itself is really decent, and will stay attached to my X100VI for the foreseeable future now.The battery door bit stays put, and opens easily when needed. The case is held firmly attached by the tripod mount thread.It's a good case. I'm pleased with it. And of course yes it fits the X1000VI perfectly.
