Takes awhile to do a review because you need a lot of "support" parts to "use" it
Takes awhile to do a review because you need a lot of "support" parts to "use" it. Parts like heaver cables and with battery clamps if using a battery already installed in a car, fuses or a circuit breaker, heavy duty extension cords, etc. If you are new to inverters, get ready to add parts. When I finally assembled everything, the inverter worked exactly as expected and did the intended job admirably. I am pleased with the purchase.

This is for the 12V 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter
What do I like about this? I like that it connects just fine to the Renogy Rover Controller I have. (Keep your connections LOOSE until everything is connected while the inverter is on, then tighten everything up. You won't regret that.)The unit is solid 'enough' but it appears it could be damaged easily if you aren't careful unplugging whatever you plug into the outlets the first time.Yeah. The outlets are not exactly rock solid. What I did was plug in a heavy duty extension cord with six outlets. I DON'T use all of them at the same time. There's a small lamp, an older, low Wattage radio and a home computer by HP WITH a 32 inch TV for a monitor.I keep three solar panels connected to it to charge each day. I don't run the computer and monitor when I'm not using it, reboot upon need. It works just fine.Connected to this 12V 2000W Inverter by lvyuan are two 50Ah LiFePO4 batteries connected in parallel. Very simple. Turn everything off until needed, EXCEPT the Inverter's power switch and, for me everything is going fine.Again, I only gave four stars because you could break the outlets easily by carelessly plugging and unplugging appliances. It is close to flimsy to that end. Use your head and this should last a good long while.Monitor it regularly too, that's what I do to be on the safe side. It appears to be smooth sailing. Also to protect pets and children as was yourself if leaving this in the house and providing power to any given appliance as you would plugged into a wall socket, you would be wise to get a battery case to keep the battery inside of with the cables connected exiting/entering the battery/batteries from the controller. It's not for the timid or initiated perhaps, BUT if you are so inclined, the potential for you to see your energy bill plummet as mine has varies.Mine is a working model in progress and I would actually consider wagering that I possibly had the lowest energy bill in the state or among the lowest anywhere as I have a few inverters and solar power stations scattered around my home for light duty, stu9I use all the time, some of which that REALLY sucks some juice through the pipe, like a common coffee maker. Wow. My energy bill was LOW.You do have to adjust to a lifestyle change of sorts to transition, but I am having a great time with it. Looking good!Yes I would recommend this inverter, just be careful unplugging any appliances you plug in OR plug in a power strip and don't use everything connected at one time.Personally, I have been using this long enough now that I am comfortable leaving the power strip on so I can have Alexa turn on the connected lamp. It requires extra attention for safety reasons until you feel comfortable with it. Just turn everything off completely when no one is home to be on the safe side.An incredible value for the money in my opinion.

Junk, does not put out advertised power.
This inverter is rated at 1000 watts continuous and 2000 watts peak so i decided to test it. At 700 watts the units and its cables which were direct connected to a deep cycle battery started to become dangerously hot and after a few minutes the unit shut down. I then tried to run a very small air-conditioner with it that has a rotary compressor in it that pulls 400 watts after it cooled off that my other true sine wave inverter runs fine when using the same battery. I had to quickly turn it off because the air-conditioner was making strange noises. However. when i ran another motorized load that uses 200 watts it performed fine. I do not know if this is one defective unit or just a bad design.

Cobra PSW400 VS Lvyuan 500PSW Inverter
Thought Cobra was a good name brand. But two units came with dysfunctional USBC ports. Giving the Cobra company a third try. I almost ordered one more, but, hesitantly got this half price Chinese unit.Wow, solid metal case, bigger power lugs, heavier wiring with bigger copper clips. Photo.Ran blow dryer on low endlessly and effortlessly with car off. Needed car running to add the electric blanket. Way more than just the stated extra 100 watt output. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Oh, and AC outlets don't need gorilla effort to insert or remove the plugs.Don't waste your time with the bigger fancy plastic name brand.

Very pleased with this inverter
Very pleased with this inverter. I liked the fact that this inverter had two displays for output and input voltages.I had no issues installing the inverter and running different types of equipment like lights, heaters and a 1/3hp motor. When testing the inverter I used an 800W heater with no problems, the inverter was connected to a small car battery. (details: output 120vac @ 6.6amps; Input 12.2vdc @ 78amps). My purpose for this inverter was to use it on a Sump Pump Battery back-up system I designed for my dad, the sump pump is a 1/3hp ac motor, fairly new motor so it was somewhat efficient only about 500W but because of the startup current I used a 1500W inverter just to insure it would start, anyway the inverter runs the pump just fine and my dad is thrilled.Side note: One time I accidently overloaded the inverter during testing and the inverter safely shut down, I was glad it was design so well.
