Works great in an ASUS VivoBook
This connector works great in an ASUS VivoBook F513EA. I purchased a different style connector and had connection issues in the UEFI/BIOS and OS. This connector had no problems, and has been working great so far at 6 Gbps SATA.

Didn't work, caused issues
I bought this to replace my current cable which kept coming loose. As soon as I booted my laptop up, it failed to detect my hard drive. Furthermore, I couldn't shut down my laptop no matter what I tried and had to take it out while my laptop was still on. It ended up sparking and smoking when I went to do that. As soon as I reinstalled my previous cable my HDD was detected fine. Not sure if it was a fluke, but I'm not gonna risk a replacement.

If you own a asus rog g531gt and need to add a 2.5" drive this is the cable that you need. Fits perfect and works perfect!
