The thermostat is a simple unit that is easy to install. I use it in a warehouse for a heating zone in the winter only, so I have no use for programing or air conditioning use (it will run a cooling unit if you need it to).The batteries seem to last for quite a long time.

I tried several newer models Nest and others but we did not like them controlling our heat and a/c. Good old fashioned product! Easy to install.

Vertical Thermostat Model Is What You Get!
The vertical model of the thermostat, 1E78-144, is what you receive. While it would be okay for a new installation with limited horizontal space, it is not okay to replace an existing horizontal model.
