My Betta’s favorite tank fixture
These leaves are my fishy’s favorite feature in his tank. I bought him a bunch of rocks a flowery betabed, and even a fake crow skull hide—and his leaf has always been his favorite. When they lose their ability to float I roll them up and he enjoys hiding in them and playing peekaboo. Great product that turns the water a healthy gold that is striking in the sun. I highly recommend these! They are packaged well and you can reseal the container to keep the rest fresh.

Good for my Betta Fish!
I noticed my Betta had a gray spot forming on the top of his head, my water parameters were all good, with the exception of the PH. I ordered these leaves, which arrived quickly, I put one in my 4 gallon BiOrb aquarium and within 12 days (and one 50% water change) the gray spot is gone. My Betta appears very happy. The water did get dark in the first 3 or 4 days, but after the water change I put the same leaf back in and the water is not as dark now, but I think the leaf is still providing tannins and is beneficial. I am very happy with this product.

For Scuds
I purchased for a scud culture. I had hoped for whole leaves, but they arrived all smashed to bits. I normally add one leaf per week. I can still use them but no way to tell how much I am feeding.

Great for smaller tanks
These are trimmed leaves but the size works great in smaller tanks. I use these in my 9 gallon cherry shrimp tank and the size is just right. Anything larger would take up too much space.I boil these for 10 minutes before placing them in the tank. Tannins are still released in the tank water even after boiling. Once the leaves are ripe enough, the shrimp start foraging on them. They eat them until only the leaf veins are left. They seem pretty happy with these leaves and have been using these regularly for almost a year.

Tannins!
I’m really impressed with these leaves. Usually it takes a while for my water to get that dark look with other almond leaves. I put these in two days ago and the ph and water is great! My betta girl is more active and happy too.

Huge help for my betta
I rescued my blue alien betta from petsmart, he was really pale and whitish. Not his true color. He didnt eat nor move around much for a week or so and i always heard almond leaves were good. Bought them, tried them and had great success, betta gained all his colors back, ate and swam around normally withing a few days of adding the leaf. I only added 1 for a 5 gallon, ik some people say some leaves dont release their tannins but if thats the case just add 2, it wont hurt.

A must for a Betta tank
These leaves are a natural way to help with keeping ph in the normal range for my Betta fish. I have noticed he is happy and it copies the tank as a natural environment for him. Glad I purchased.

Still evaluating
I purchased these to place in my freshwater fish aquarium after reading that they help reduce carbonate hardness (KH).Due to the smaller size of the tank, I only placed a single leaf in the water. After a few days floating on the surface, it finally sank and found an unobtrusive place to come to rest.I did read that I should remove any activated carbon filtration, which I did, and that like tea, would slowly tint the water a light brown. So far there is no noticeable color change and KH has not started to drop, but I'd rather give this more time than start adding acid.If and when my opinion rise or drop, I will adjust the rating and review accordingly.
