Smart Plug Mini Wi-Fi Outlet, EASEHOLD Smart Sockets Compatible with Alexa, Echo, Google Home & IFTTT Voice Control, with Timing Function, No Hub Required, 13A (4-Pack)

There are a number of smart plugs to choose from, all with very similar features. I purchased these based on the price and the functions I required. Energy monitoring information is not available on this device, this was something I did not need so I purchased a pack of four as a trial. I have recently purchased a second pack as the plugs proved to be perfect for my requirements.Physically the plug has a few niggles where the development team missed the practical side with regards to every day usage. (operating as a traditional plug!) When placed in a switched socket the lip around the pins only just raises the plug away from the switch obstructing slightly the socket switch. As the switch becomes redundant due to the smart plug not a big deal. However, the big issue is in the power switch on the smart plug being located on the underside. This means access is awkward and then hampered further once a device is connected as this obstructs the use of this switch.Set-up is extremely easy, of course those who have a BT hub with the smart link switched on will know you have no chance in configuring many smart devices. Switching off this to separate the wireless 2.4Ghz from the 5Ghz channels will allow the plugs to be setup easily. Once linked onto the 2.4Ghz network the plug can be configured in the Smart app and full control using voice commands with the Google Home hub.If you require a smart plug for controlling devices via voice/routines then this is a great purchase.

Update: Amazon told me not to return the faulty item but now they’ve taken payment for it again after I didn’t return it. Customer service is terrible.Otherwise Pretty good. One has failed out of 8. Bit fiddly to set up and they tend to drop off the network every 4 or 5 weeks. Got refund for the dead one but Amazon now hounding me to return it despite customer service telling me I didn’t have to. I’m not wasting another 20 mins calling to complain so i’ll be really irritated if they claw the refund back when I’m just doing what they told me to. Hopefully they’ll read this and fix it. We shall see.

Price is good, and they work well but a wee bit tricky to setup

Ordered this pack of 4 plugs. Tried them out within an hour of delivery.. So good, quality and ease of set up, I instantly clicked on "Buy Again" to buy another set.. but delivered just a single, today. For same money. Now looked and 4 pack out of stock. So returning the single. But a good product all round.

Amazon had an offer where a SmartPlug was very cheap when bougt with an Alexa Dot. I was hooked. I ordered three of a different make which were hopeless so I was unsure what to expect here.I had no reason to worry I had them all working and renamed in 45 mins.

These smart plugs keep losing connection to my wifi even though I have a very good mesh wifi system whilst other types I have continue to work well. Not worth the trouble.

Fantastic shame they don't do the 4 pack any more as wanted another 4 of them. I'm not paying the same price I paid for 4 for 1 now
