Lovely book. The more recent varieties are missing of course as it's an older book, but notwithstanding that well worth having.

great, but a little dated
The text is very instructive, the pictures are of great beauty. Each Austin rose gets its own portrait. However, since 1996 a lot more Austin roses have been brought to the market while others have been replaced, so a new, updated edition would greatly be appreciated by all rose lovers. If you can't wait, you'll find many of the new Austin roses in Trevor Griffiths' wonderful book "Glorious Old Roses", published by Viking.
