It was very comfortable to use.

I bought these hooks on a whim because of their delightful design. I already own two other sets of sculptural hooks (the long pastel scrolled set you've probably seen here on Amazon). Those are pretty, but oddly weighted and difficult to use. These hooks are closer to the length of standard crochet hooks, and the center of balance is in a more normal spot. The hooks have Boye-style heads, short throats, and a decent working area. There's a large thumb rest on the hard plastic handle. The set includes a 3mm hook, which can be hard to find in the US. It's difficult to tell from the photos, but the handles are a deep red-brown color with a shiny finish. The shapes are a goose, a swan, something that appears to be a fox or cat, a butterfly, a rooster, a dragon, a flower, and something that's either highly stylized floral or maybe coral. The designs are two-sided, and quite lovely.I'm so pleased with these that I'm seriously considering buying a second set!

I love the look of these hooks, but they aren't practical for use. Maybe if I lost all my other hooks and needed to finish something on deadline I'd use one, but otherwise the time I spent trying today was more than enough. They are long enough to get tangled on any form of loose clothing you may wear yet have to weight to make them easy to control. If I keep them it will be purely for decoration in my craft space.

These hooks are awesome. Very pretty eventhough they're plastic. I love the designs on each one. Don't know if I'll use them. They're too pretty.

These hooks are easy to use. I had one hook that was snagging the yarn, I used a small piece of fine sandpaper to take the bur out of throat of the hook. Works perfectly and I like using them.
