Achieve your best grade using this book
Having recently finished my A2 Environmental Studies course I honestly cannot recommend this text book enough. If you are looking to achieve your best grade (especially the top As and A*s) this book will enable you to do that. The book itself is in black and white which initially did put me off - however, when you take a closer look, this book is incredibly well written and the page layout makes it very easy to revise from. This is unusual for me, nearly all textbooks either are really uninteresting or they have so much information that you can't remember anything. The textbook does contain a lot more background information which you do not need to pass your exams, but it does come in extremely useful when trying to stand out to the examiner. Just remembering those few extra facts from the book shows your enthusiasm for the subject. There are definitions for all key terms that you will need to know and understand alongside examiner tips which really do help to show you areas which you should focus on and others less so.In addition, this book is full of diagrams and pictures which makes it a lot more interesting and easy to read. Not only this, but the examiner frequently puts diagrams out of this textbook into the examinations - therefore putting you one step ahead of people not using it.This book helped me to achieve my best - and I am sure it will do the same for you!

Brief coverage, some limitations but a starting point
This book is really the only dedicated text for the AQA Environmental Science AS and A2. It gets three stars only as it really could be better - I think this is a product of low demand for a niche product so the publishers could not put more resources into it. Given that this is to cover AS and A2 it is quite thin and if you compare to to the specification, there are quite a few gaps. But it is good starting point. I would also buy the Oxford or Pearson text book for the IB that covers ESS (Environmental Systems and Society) topic - it is a very comprehensive supplement to this book

The proof will be in the pudding if it's actually any good, if I pass the exam then I won't ...
It's got a lot of information, one could argue too much information for the way it's written. The proof will be in the pudding if it's actually any good, if I pass the exam then I won't complain too much ah

Informative
A good book, however the very first diagram on the very first page on my copy, shows the earths magnetic field drawn in the wrong direction in relation to the position of the sun. The book arrived without any hassles though so other than the diagram issue, i though it was a good book.

expectations
It met all my studying material requirements, although there was one noticeable mistake in writing of which could mislead a learner who had not fully understood the chapter. About ozone depletion unit 2 chapter 1 atmosphere.

Great!
Delivered quickly and book was in good condition. Proving a useful resource in planning lessons for the WJEC Level 3 Environmental Science Course. It isn't exactly the same specification but there's plenty in here to help.
