These are a solved problem by now
If you have been on the fence about getting a wireless adapter for your wired CarPlay, I don't think you can go wrong with this one. I had an older version of this model, and other than it connecting slightly faster, I do not see much change. I think these items are pretty much a solved problem by now.Pros:This thing is tiny. It's very small. For me it's not an issue because the USB port is inside the center console, but if your USB port is exposed, having a compact adapter will give you aesthetic benefits. It connects quickly. It's easy to set up. You just connect to the bluetooth network that it says on the screen, and then it does the rest. You only need to do this once and it remembers it. Confusingly, the bluetooth network name is not the product name. All of the functionality of my car works. All the steering wheel buttons work, the GPS in the car is passed through, and phone calls use the existing microphone in the car.Cons:There is a lag when you connect. It's not a huge amount, maybe 5 seconds. All devices have this; the Ultra connects quicker than most. When you change songs or fast-forward there is about a second to two second lag from when you push the button to when the song changes. I have just gotten used to this. I don't think there's a way to fix it. It does not happen when I directly plug in with the wired cable.Multiple phones are not supported. You could unpair and repair, but it only remembers the last phone.

Doesn't work
Doesn't work at all with iPhone 15 and 2020 Jeep Wrangler. My other CarLinkit works great, wanted a smaller solution. This wasn't it.

Works great for Android Auto!
I have been test driving this for several days and have found it to be superior to it's predecessor. I chose this wireless adapter because I have had great success with another wireless adapter from this company. The reason for the switch is the form factor. I prefer the smaller adapter. It does not take up the space in my console area.Set up is simple, plug in the chip, for lack of a better term, and open your bluetooth settings. You'll see the chip. Approve it and you are ready to go. The operation is identical to using your device wired. I have found other adapters to be disrupted when passing cell towers, this is not happening. The chip has a visible LED giving you some visual reference to what is happening with the chip. I am really pleased with this chip.

Static in audio
Two issues:1) intermittent static when playing audio. My current CarPlay device (I was hoping to upgrade to get faster response time) never has static.2) start times varied too much

Great! When it works. (Updated)
Great, when it works.Using this on a 2018 Honda Goldwing (my software on the bike and phone have all been updated).this connects most of the time right away with my Pixel 8 Pro (every once in a while I will get a communication error). Once it starts up, it works great, then about 20% of the time I use it, withing 20 minutes it disconnects from my phone stating communication issue.I am aware that wireless Android Auto is not as stable as Apple Car Play but my wifes car has it built in to the vehicle and wireless works every time no matter what so process of elimination, the issue is not my phone.Maybe it is the Goldwing? Well wired Android Auto works perfectly fine (outside of cooking my phone because it loves to fast charge). There is a process to get Apple Car Play or Android Auto (wired or not) to work on the bike but that is not the issue as the wired works 100% of the time. So its not the bike.I have to assume then that this device is not working properly 20% of the time with Android Auto.If there is a way to update the device, I would be willing to try that but I have no idea how to do that.Fix these connection issues and ill change my review to 5 stars and update this post.UPDATE: (Original review 2 stars, changed to 4 for customer service and will update to 5 if what they sugested works)Seller reached out and helped to resolve the issue finacially but also provided a potential solution by upgrading the devices firmware. Will Update if firmware flash fixes issue but even if it dosent, they still have earned 2 extra stars from me just for quality of customer service.
