Extremely cost effective solution
I normally don't review products I'm beyond satisfied with, as it can lead to inflated pricing. However, there was such an exceptional value for the money I feel I should absolutely speak up. I don't have a desk, and am working with an office setup(just a monitor) off of a folding snack table. I knew I didn't have much space to spare, and this modified keyboard and mouse have been a perfect combo. The keys are slightly narrower but taller than you'd expect, and the mouse isn't fancy but works really well. The price for the combo is the best selling point, and I'd highly recommend this to someone working at home with limited space/money.

Good value mini wired keyboard, but with just one not-so-little problem!
I am a good touch typist and have a very large collection of computers (well over a hundred at last count!). So, some may consider me an expert when it comes to computer products, including keyboards. I wanted a wired one so I would not be turning a keyboard off and on all day (to save battery power, typically) for one PC I use the most.If I owned no other computers, this could have been a five-star review. The problem is that I require standardization in key layout, lest I struggle every time I am at a different machine. Alas, this Perixx keyboard uses a non-standard layout, something that happens with mini keyboards in order to save space. Unfortunately, in this case, it's almost fatal, because to the right of the slash (/) key, where there should be the right shift key, there is an up arrow key.Consequently, when I type, I frequently wind up hitting the up arrow instead of shifting to upper case. As I stated already, I could surely learn to live with this IF THIS WERE MY ONLY COMPUTER or IF I DID HUNT AND PECK (instead of touch-typing).In any given day, I will play or work with a half-dozen or more of my 120 computers and computing-class devices, and I question whether I could ever train myself on this keyboard without losing my touch-typing comfort on all my other machines. Even if I could, is it worth the trouble to deal with this irksome deviation? If this will be your only keyboard, I regard this as a very good machine, 4.5 out of 5 stars (which rounds up to 5). Similarly, if you are not a touch typist, then there probably will not be a problem. But if you are dealing with multiple machines and do touch-type, I would caution against jumping in on account of this deviation from the norm. I just wish Perixx would send me a different model without this problem, but I would need to ask for return, wrap this up, arrange the return, etc. all just to get back a relatively modest amount of money (after tax, about $16).P.S. Yes, there is a wired mouse with it, but I have tons of mice already anyway.

Ok cheap backup keyboard but not for regular use.
I'm updating this review after a bit more use. The weather has gotten a little colder, and the keys are now pretty stiff. Today the shift key stuck on (which due to bad interactions with my particular editor actually caused data loss...). In general I'm find the keys miss a lot because they stick and don't go all the way down if you don't press hard enough, so I have to do a lot of backspace-retype editing as I go.I would say it's a fine keyboard for, say, booting or minimal admin on a machine you don't normally use, or as a backup emergency keyboard (it is reliable in the sense that it works fine if you type hard and slow), but I would not recommend doing any regular typing or work on it. (I was using it for my second computer which I only use occasionally, but even there it is too annoying.)Downgrading to 3 stars, which it earns because it's cheap. (At a higher price, it would get 1 star.)Still looking for a replacement for my BTC 6100C which was similarly priced but a joy to use.[old review below]I'm using it as an aux keyboard and mouse for talking to my raspberry pi's and things like that, for which it's fine and a great deal. The keys are fairly deep with long travel for a thin keyboard, and are a bit sloppy, so not a great tactile feel if you dislike friction in your key strokes. But it's still reasonably light on the touch, so pretty good for its class. However, the keys at the edges take a bit more force to press because of the angle of attack, so, for instance, the shift key often misses for me unless I make a point of pressing extra hard. Over time that's hard on the pinkies, so I wouldn't want to do extensive typing on this. (But, I don't know of a better keyboard in this price range....)I miss my BTC 6100C, which was thinner than this and with a light, friction-less, accurate touch suitable for full time use despite also being fairly cheap, but alas it is no longer made. If anyone can recommend a replacement for that, do tell.

Economical, and highly useable
I am thinking about buying a second set. I mean, it takes up so little desktop space, the keys' action is smooth (no, no special clickety-clack) and the mouse works fine. It's not fancy, but it works fine.My keyboard at work--they keys are low profile, but they have this slightly squeaky resistance. Many more typos than anywhere else ANNOYING!!!!! So I think I'll keep this little set in my desk drawer.

Keyboard Quiet, Mouse Cheap
Delivered on time, Keyboard quiet to use, no loud clacking. Mouse cheap but works good so far, very low EMF readings from these two.

Great Keyboard for Price
I was searching for a cheap USB keyboard for my new mini PC. I don't know why there are so many keyboards with the number pad, but they are just too large and I never use a number pad. This model fit the bill-it is compact without being cramped, the keys have quite a bit of movement, and a soft feel when using. It takes a bit of getting used to since the right shift key is a bit small and further away than my previous keyboard on a RaspberryPi 400. The mouse works great as well.

Insert key is most upsetting..cannot find a way to disable it.
A wonderfully quiet little keyboard but the insert key is a real problem. I have vision problems and can't see how to disable this. My daughter tried to hep me but following the Youtube instructions and Google instructions did not work...is there a simple way of getting this insert key blocked

Does not work well. Faulty.
Faulty equipment. Keyboard keeps freezing while you're typing. A second later, a dozen letter oooooooo appear even if you only typed once.Mouse shakes uncontrollably within half an inch space.Same issue on both mini PC (i3) and desktop AMD 1055t. Dining Windows 10.No help found on their website.Saves space. To bad it doesn't work well.

I would give it 4 and a half stars!
I bought this keyboard and mouse combo to come along a mini PC I built. It had to be small and cheap and if possible sturdy. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase! The keyboard :(As a note, my primary keyboard is a mechanical keyboard from Logitech.)The keyboard surprisingly has little flex even for an all plastic frame. The keys are fantastic. I was expecting rattly and noisy keys for this cheap keyboard. I was absolutely wrong. The keys feel solid and are extremely silent. The travel distance is the shortest I've seen in a membrane keyboard so far. The size and placement of the keys feels natural and it took me a minute to get used to it.I give the keyboard 5 stars as I was not expecting that level of quality for this price. The mouse :The mouse is the weak spot of this bundle. I'm not disappointed by it however. It just feels so generic that nothing really stands out from it. The plastic does not feel nearly as good as the frame on the keyboard. Ergonomically, it's not too bad. It has rubberized/anti-slip finish on the top. It seems to track well on most surfaces I've tried it on. The only down point for me is the lack of tilt buttons for left and right scrolling on the scroll wheel. For the mouse, it works as intended but I was expecting a bit more. I would still give it a 4 stars.

Horrible.
I love nice keyboards and budget ones. I have never used a keyboard this bad. It slides around everywhere (nothing to grip the table on legs), the compact design is too compact, I find typing on it a chore. Tried gaming with this keyboard and mouse and it was hell. I can tell there is much input lag while playing games with the keyboard and mouse. Very frustrating. I usually grab the Logitech wired basic set but thought I would take a chance. I was wrong and just ordered the Logitech basic mk200 combo. Even trying to type this review is getting me angry using the keyboard.
