The likely locations for Arlo cameras don't usually coincide with outlets. These cables give you that much needed extra flexibility from a cable run prospective. This way you don't have to swap out batteries or cameras on a regular basis.Also nice to have the Arlo-specific chargers, since there are some non 5V voltages involved in the system. . .I actually ran one of these up into my second floor crawlspace where I could pick up a (short) extension cord from the 1x outlet that's up there (adjacent to my HVAC air handler). Now my second floor hallway has a camera (mostly to determine when my daughters dog makes it up the stairs, to determine how long he had to 'trash' the place). My second location is likely outside my front door, and the length will allow me to hide the cable much better.

Even though the item says it is specifically for Arlo cameras, I naively ordered one thinking that it would be compatible with other cameras that use micro usb interface. I use Wyze v3 cameras, and now I feel silly because these cables do not work with the Wyze camera. I was able to plug it in, but when the camera powers on, it senses that something is wrong and turns itself off.Assuming that you have the correct kind of camera, there seems to be nothing wrong with these cables, they seem to be of good quality, as do the (2) wall plug adapters that come with them.

Even though most of my Arlo cameras use batteries, I still want to add cord plug in on high precision that I cant reach. I ran the wire from camera outside through my garage door to the nearest outlet, so no more climbing ladders to take the battery out. Arlo specifically states they can be left plugged in all the time, so now 2 months later, 3 out of 4 are working great. One has a low battery message. I don’t think it’s this cable though. I think the heavier rain on this side of the house is shortening the magnetic connection to the camera, or it needs a new battery. 30 feet long is more than enough for most cameras. These are simply charging cables for Arlo cameras. The Arlo camera has a magnetic mounting base and a cable connection for quick setup. But I also have to have a recharger unit for the battery which is sold separately. Or I can buy this cable connection and plug it into an outlet and connect it to the camera. So far, it works nicely for me.

Ran these two cables to Arlos that I cannot get solar on as they are inside the garage. Keeps the battery charged without issue. The flat cable made it to where I could staple it on the ceiling without issue.

RECOMMENDATION:I rate these a ‘BUY’. These are good solid flat cables and the endings work well on the older Arlo Pro cameras with the micro USB plugs. The adapters are Qualcomm Quickcharge 3.0 adapters that support up to 18 watts, so nice units. Only downside is that the Micro USB connection into the camera is not waterproof, despite what the Amazon listing from the seller says.THE GOOD:1. Nice, strong flat cables and very long for distant AC plugs. Probably better than what comes direct from Arlo.2. The adapters are Qualcomm Quickcharge 3.0 adapters that support up to 18 watts, so nice units that will power the cameras and charge the batteries just fine. They are also not too large for tighter spaces.3. Tested these with Arlo Pro HD cameras and they worked well.4. They come with nail-in cable clips to attach the cable to surfaces where a nail will work OK. These clips to not work well on dry wall, but do work OK on siding if you pre-drill holes.THE BAD:1. The Micro USB connectors that plug into the actual camera are specifically engineered to fit the Arlo Pro cameras and fit very well, but they are clearly not waterproof. But, unless you are exposing the USB connection to direct weather it probably should work fine.

They're quite old now but I still use and love my pair of Arlo Pro 2 cameras. I'm using one of the Arlo Pro 2 cameras as my front porch camera, and a long power cord like this one from the Farsail store is exactly what I wanted and needed.I like that the power cord is flat and easy to snake through doors and screen doors through tight spaces. The included cable clips make cord management neat and easy.It's a 5-Star Win!!

I am so glad I saw this arlo power charging cable and charger. I had purchased a solar device for this and the cord did not reach. It put me in a dilemma. Once I ran across this cord and especially the length I was sold on it. Definitely worth it. Plus I don’t have to constantly charge the batteries.
