Q: How long are the mounting brackets. i.e. what is the distance between the bolts on each arm?

Inner most bolt hole to inner most bolt hole is 11 inches.

Q: What is the thickness of pull up bar?

I do not know the exact thickness but it is very sturdy & well made all around.

Q: Can this be mounted on an outdoor wall? Will the bolts rust?

I don’t see why not. We are on the ocean so w/ the salt air we haven’t had any rusting, however it is in a garage. Not certain if it were outdoors if it would rust due to the elements.

Q: What size snap hooks fits on this bar?

We didn’t use any hooks. It came w/ bolts. My son screwed it into the rafters in the garage. It’s high up & he has to leap to grab on but that’s what he wanted. It seems like great quality, but if your short you may need something else to bolt it to.
