It’s a nice copy and good quality but I’m very disappointed to find upon reading in class that a chunk of 20 lines is missing from act 1 scene 1. This needs to be fixed. I hope not to find any more missing chunks as this text is crucial for my A Levels. Unfortunately I could not return seeing as I’d already started to annotate it.

I now prefer these editions to the Arden editions, less academic and more pragmatic from a performer perspective.

This is a brilliant copy of Hamlet. There are notes on pretty much everything, the introduction is very helpful for understanding the world around the play and I have found this very helpful in my A2 studies of Hamlet. If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend this copy.

I purchased this for an online course I am undertaking at it was the recommended version. I have studied Shakespeare before and Hamlet in particular so know the content quite well.

It is a brand new copy but it came with the Amazon packaging open and dirt in the corner which doesn’t come off! This is unnacceptable!!
