DANA XU100% Mulberry Satin Silk Summer Travel Scarf Extra Large Women Floral Shawl Oversize Soft Wraps For Evening Dresses

To get the negative out of the way first: I intensely dislike being lied to by any seller. The claim that these scarves are 100% mulberry silk is a straight up lie: that they cost between $18.99 and $36.99 (with up to 10% discounts on some) should clue us in immediately; with what mulberry silk would cost in manufacture, to make a profit, they would have to charge at least twice the price of the more expensive scarves. However, I now totally get the reason that an overwhelming majority of shoppers simply don't care about the exact content of the fabric, and remain loyal to this brand--they are selling beautifully designed and rendered scarves at a price point that is appropriate to what they actually are.There IS likely some silk content along with the nylon; enough, for example, to create the pleasing shimmer of the fabric, which does not refract light across the spectrum the complex way that 100% silk does, but which is a very pretty uniform white sheen. There is also likely enough silk content to lend the fabric a nice hand that warms to the touch--without going point by point, I will just say that all in all, this is a great fake--not for 100% Chinese mulberry silk--but for a lesser quality of silk. If the scarf is to be gifted, honesty is going to continue to be my policy, but these scarves are going to need the delicate treatment anyway: cool water/gentle fabric cleanser handwashing and drip dry--no wringing out. The scarf I chose seems unfortunately to be currently out of stock, but I do hope they bring it back, and will comment on it just in case they do: a floral pattern in a medley of shades of green and touches of red and burgundy. Red and green might sound a little funky or Christmassy, but it doesn't come off this way--it has a spring-to-summer appeal: the floral design has a William Morris-inspired vibe of design perfection to the smallest detail, of repeating buds, blooms, and wandering thorned vines (Redbubble has great examples in bedding, clothing and a variety of accessories--including scarves--but though they have excellent products worth discovery, I seriously doubt their (honestly represented) polyester scarves can match the quality of Dana Xu). I have not yet tried any Dana Xu scarves of "100% fine wool" (claim is wool of Australian origin), but having experienced the quality of the "silk," I definitely plan to buy more of those, and would be willing to try out the wool version, which I will of course review ;)

I own eight of Dana Xu silk scarves, and two wool ones. Those scarves are true bargain. I love them! My mood is much better, when I have one of my scarves on. It adds color and sunshine into monotonous rainy days.

Oh my. I am SO pleasantly surprised! I hosted foreign exchange students for a couple of years. They always found a way to amaze me with gifts. My favorite gift I received from them was a large silk scarf from France. It is absolutely gorgeous and so light. It is not a high shine satin like silk. I’ve had a hard time finding the same quality of silk until now!!! This scarf is the exact same type of silk my scarf from France is. I absolute love it!!!!! And it is HUGE. I’m 5’5 so considered that when viewing my photo. It almost goes to the ground! 😍I’m returning the other scarves I tried off Amazon. Keeping this gorgeous one! I knew it was the keeper as soon as I pulled it from the package!

Original order was made to go with a specific outfit and I was dissapounted. I’d like to update my review more positively now. Although it was not the scarf I ordered, I have become quite fond of it. The fabric is luxurious, the colors are bright and it is very generous size. I have since ordered 2 more to give as gifts.

Worth every penny. Quality scarf, uplifts any outfit, goes with everything, and I can't wear it without getting compliments. Packs small if you travel, doubles as sunscreen on the beach, long enough to wrap a few times, and is very warm in the winter. Kind of the perfect scarf.

Price increased nearly $10 since I purchased! I’m not saying it’s not worth it, but for me it would make me think twice or not order multiples.I’m including a photo since the colors can be hard to discern. It’s understandable as these are somewhat sheer, yet saturated in color. I was really taken aback by how some of the colors appeared in person. I find these extremely versatile, and sturdy. I received one that was a completely different pattern/color than pictured, but the others were as-ordered. So many scarves snag on jewelry, are too heavy, too skinny, won’t fit under a coat, blah-blah whatever. This is pretty Goldie Locks. Need a square/triangle scarf? Just fold this in half and then make the triangle, which works due to the lack of bulk. And yet it’s insulating. I can’t deal with non-breathable fabrics, esp around my neck/torso, as I have dysautonomia. So this works and can be moved/adjusted with one hand if I need to peel off quickly. Honestly, unless you are attending a wedding, I don’t know who has a life where you wear something draped over your shoulders. That’s definitely not a hands-free way to get around town. But I have the option with this, if I wore it as a scarf and then took it off and draped it over me til I got ready to leave again, not that I usually ever need to add warmth indoors..... I digress..... I’m pleased, and glad I got mine before this most recent price increase. It’s floaty while still being substantial and having some body, if that makes any sense. The edges are stitched, not rolled, so maybe that’s where the “skimping” comes in, but I’m ok with that. I can’t guarantee it’s 100% silk, and have no reason to believe it isn’t, but even if it’s not, it’s still close enough for me.

If you want a polyester scarf, this is perfect for you. I have a degree in fashion. I know real silk when I feel it. Silk has a certain amount of airiness, bounciness, smoothness and moisture when touching. Although the item is nice, it s airy, it has a nice dying job, this does not eliminate the fact that this is NOT silk, but indeed polyester. Because it’s a loose weave and are made of filament fibers, does not make the fiber content silk. This is the SECOND time I have attempted to buy a PURE silk scarf from Amazon, and now I am officially done. I AM DONE WITH ATTEMPTING TO FIND PURE SILK SCARF ON AMAZON. IM FRUSTRATED.
