AMES 2916400 4-Tine Floral Spading Fork

So I got to be careful here cuz I don't want to take a ding against the company who makes this because the company makes a great variety of products and they all do hold up pretty well for the value, let's talk about value this particular seller who I bought this from I must have been sleeping at day because they basically sold me an item that I could buy at home Depot for 10 bucks more, talk about feeling like the fool. So shame on me and when it came time to return it the seller has probably the worst policy of sticking it to me for the shipping charge so now something that already cost $10 too much would cost 20 LOL, anyway not to rant too much because this is a product review but I guess that's something think about 2 because I could have bought this thing for way less at home Depot. Onto the real meat of the review, this particular design with the thickness of the tines I don't know, I found the handle very awkward and the top of the tines below a little tough to be able to step on and push down its curved in your feet will slide off, they should not make the metal down below curved so that you can stomp on it to push in if needed, the handle feels too aerodynamic and round that you're prone to slip on a depending on how you're pressing down, I think in this department the design and functionality stink but again they to make other products that are awesome in my eyes

This potato fork is seriously sturdy and shipped fast too. The handle is a bit too short to be comfortable but if you were a short person it is perfect! We are tall, Amazon type folks and it’s just a little too short for us but works very well.

I shopped around before buying this. I went locally to Home Depot, Lowe's, walmart, everywhere. The price got me. But the tool is priceless. I have a community garden and I use it - all the time!! It's the one tool you need! I recommend others to get one. Well delivered. Works excellent to pull weeds, loosen soil, scoop mulch or even wood chips. The handle is not too long. The fork is not that heavy. But it works and it's worth the money.

I purchased this to turn my compost. It’s perfect for compost but I wouldnt use this for other gardening chores like tilling or digging as I question its durability on tougher jobs

I wish I had bought one of these before now. I'm using this for my composting mainly and it's made life easier. I would note this fork is more for the backyard gardener than professional. It's pretty sturdy, but I wouldn't use for all day heavy abusive usage. Remember it's a manure fork.

A decent pitchfork. I purchased this to turn my compost pile. The handle and fork itself are very heavy duty. You can tell it is quality and will not bend or snap on extreme use. As many people mentioned, it is small, but for the price it fit the bill for my need. If you are looking for a budget pitchfork and do not mind bending down/over while using it, this is definitely a recommended item.

Sure you can get even higher quality but at a sharply higher price. I needed to tend to a whole bunch of day lilies and turn some mulch. This fork fit the bill without seeming at all cheap - but it was relative to the others I had seen at Lowe’s and Home Depot. I can recommend it.

Good price. Works fine for me. Don't have a heavy use need, just around my garden. Lots of rocks so shovels don't work for me.
