I've read a lot about ubiquinol and CoQ10 enzymes and what's best to take. This brand is frequently referred to in online literature as being one of the better brands for efficacy and absorption and recommended by Dr. Mercola for anyone over 25 years of age. It's sad to help slow the signs of aging, help with energy and heart function and efficiency. I have been taking it for a couple of weeks now, and I honestly can't say I see or feel any difference, but I've been told that it sometimes takes a month or two of consistent use to feel any results.I first learned about ubiquinol when reading Success with Heart Failure (mass mkt ed): Help and Hope for Those with Congestive Heart Failure. I have the rare left-sided or diastolic heart failure, due to massive multiple bilateral pulmonary embolisms going through my heart and dilating the mitral valve. My heart doesn't rest between beats when the left side contracts and then pumps, so that I have congestive heart failure as a result. This book talks about ubiquinol and a few other alternative health and complementary medicine studies. The author says preliminary studies show that ubiquinol might have a positive effect on heart function and help congestive heart failure patients have more energy and their heart to work more efficiently. I discussed this with my doctor and he said that it can't hurt anything, but he doesn't know if it'll help anything. He left it up to me whether I wanted to try it or not.The research on this product told me that we all make or convert this enzyme in our bodies naturally, but that as we age, our ability to convert CoQ10 becomes less and less, resulting in faster aging, less energy, etc. Ubiquinol supplementation is believed to help offset some of that and improve heart function.These pills are gel covered, I'm assuming with liquid inside, and they are quite long. This makes them slightly difficult to swallow. They are red and pretty, as far as pills go, not that that really matters when you're swallowing a pill. They have no taste to them and no odor to them.If I notice anything major, I'll update this review... as for now, I'll just assume they are doing whatever they are supposed to be doing and keep taking them. They have shown no negative side effects, though, so I'll keep giving them a try.

Love these! They are red, normally some red pills can cause me an effect, but non with these! I take these for heart health, and so far everything seems good! Will definitely purchase again!

So, pictured is my second bottle of this Ubiquinol/CoQ10 product.The first bottle arrived and sounded like a maraca when shaken. The capsules in bottle #1 were pristine in appearance. I was very pleased with my first bottle.My second bottle arrived a week and a half ago, January 19, 2020. Wintertime. 30°F temperatures here in Ohio. I shook the box when I picked it up from my front porch. Whatever was in that box was a solid mass. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and found my replacement bottle of Ubiquinol. I shook the bottle. It was obviously one big lump. I mumbled to myself that it must have been stored somewhere really hot, like maybe Death Valley. I then shook it quite hard and began to hear a little rattle. I opened the bottle and looked inside, at that time nothing really looked amiss. I shrugged it off and hoped that the oil, or whatever, that was inside the capsules hadn't become rancid or lacking in potency and efficacy.Each morning I would pull the bottle from the fridge and shake it a few times so that I could pour out the day's four pills. Today, I poured out the pills and the dessicant packet poured out with my pills. The dessicant packet was yellow and soaked in an oily substance. Normally dessicant packets are white. The capsules were oily and sticky. I looked into the bottle to find blistered capsules, refer to the pics. Some of the capsules had ruptured blisters whose contents had leaked out and coated the surrounding capsules. After shooting the pics I tossed that congealed mess into the trash can. I am reluctant to buy this brand again.I don't know where the fault lay. I don't know if the manufacturer's quality control staff was out sick the day this bottle rolled down the assembly line. I don't know if the manufacturer's refrigeration unit was down when this bottle was stored and it subsequently got cooked. I don't know if the shipping company let a truck containing this product sit parked in Death Valley and the resulting heat inside the trailer caused the capsules to swell, blister, and pop. I don't know what transpired with this bottle. But somehwere during it's manufacture and shipment to my home this bottle was mishandled and abused. I threw away 30-some dollars on this product. Everyone involved in the manufacture, storage, and shipment, of this product should know better than to let this kind of thing happen. I'm not going to risk my money or my health on this companies products again.

Got my husband and I this since we are trying to convince, and we have only been using for a week or so, so I can not say it’s working just yet but I have heard great things about this brand and those who have added it to their regimen both women and men, when they are trying to have a baby and it seemed to help a lot. I have not noticed any side effects from taking it and it’s decently sized so it’s not hard for us to swallow. It was a good deal for the two we purchased and we will be getting more from this seller when our 3 months worth runs out. Also the health benefits are supposed to be really good beyond just Fertility.
