Each installment of the RINSE series reflects the sounds championed by underground London radio station Rinse FM with each DJ showing US their perspective of British pirate music by way of track selection and tempo of mix. Next up is Dubstep's deserved forefather, the mighty SKREAM. Skream's self titled debut album was released to critical acclaim, featuring much revered bone shakers such as "Tapped" and "Midnight Request Line". Since then, Skream has been tearing up the floor everywhere, from FABRIC to authentic nights such as FWD. Still in step with his ska-tinged, head bobbing productions, Skream offers exclusive new tracks from his vault, such as "Murderer", "Oit", "Kum Ere Sun" & "Refuel", all delivering blistering basslines whilst keeping the dutty, low-frequency skank purring in the background. They're lined up next to apocalyptic tracks like RUSKO & CASPA'S bowel shifting "Bread Get Bun", Dubstep figurehead BENGA's "26 Basslines" and Skream's own stunning reinterpretation of THE BLACK GHOSTS "Find Some Way". And opening the mix is a heavy roots reggae track from CULTURE.

This is a great opportunity to hear a dj set from a dubstep master. The first song on this mix is soooooo illllll! Steppin out of Babylon. If you enjoy the scent of Sour Diesel and the sound of reggae from the future, then sit down, smoke up, and enjoy

An upfront dub-ride.
Alot of people seem to be discovering Dubstep at the moment, me amongst them. This album was maybe the 3rd or 4th that I bought within this genre having browsed about various sites & forums; I must say I'm not disappointed. This album is in a style of Dubstep that I class as upfront & dancefloor oriented, Skream mixes in rapid-fire fashion, with a good deal of confidence & sure selection giving a Friday night feeling to the mix always underpinned by a dark edge & acres of sub-bass. Stand-out track for me is probably Skream's remix of The Black Ghosts 'Some Way Through This'.2007 was a big year for Skream & this mix goes a good way to showing why.
