Best Cage movie in awhile.
I'd give Nicolas Cage five stars for this one. Best job on a believable character in a long time. Other actors did a pretty good job too.Story was well paced action with a couple of original aspects (wild animals loose on a ship made a little more sense than snakes on a plane) but was a bit of a stretch logic-wise (like why would the bad guy release the animals when the odds were already against him). With the odds stacked against him, the bad guy still managed to take out all of the trained agents. Finally, the white jaguar was really poor CGI. Should have hired someone off the Lion King.Bottom line - I enjoyed it even with a few little flaws.

A "C" level movie.
A very good ending.

Almost entertaining
This story is a Noah's Ark depiction at its worst. The white cougar is out of place in the jungle and how he trapper without a legal license was allowed to transport all of the wild captured animals, in the same holding area that a very bad murder suspect is is being held, is way beyond me.

OMG Grandma Janssen....
Nice pace, but the jungle is only 5 minutes. Kevin Durand does his spectacular versions of the typical Insano. He is typecast sadly for this but true. The Real BLOOPER was the stretched almost transparent face of Famke Janssen on her old spindle woman body attempting to be young again. A REAL poor choice for the Military officer. Thanksfully they didn't attempt to hook her up with Cage. As bad as Cage looked and as bad as his attempted swagger was in the movie he wouldn't have agreed...But..Overall a quick paced movie. You won't be disappointed in general. MUCH BETTER than "MANDY". Do not go there on that one.

Decent movie ~ overrated on Amazon again!
Decent movie worth watching ~ good performance by Nicolas ~ typical Blu-ray Tm poor quality/clarity picture fluctuating from grade A (low 30’s) to substandard ( the teens) MegaBitsPerSeconds

The good Cage
brings together a series of B movies certainly not up to its best days. Here plays a poacher (he doesn't kill animals but, worse, he captures rare ones to sell them to zoos) struggling with a two-legged prey that becomes a predator. But the film that takes up the claustrophobic theme of ferocious animals fleeing in a confined environment (not as confined as snakes on a plane, but well ...) with that of the escaped prisoner who becomes a hunter from being hunted. It is not the best action movie, the plot is a bit rambling, but if you are a fan of the genre you are happy to watch. Once, maybe twice.

Gets better.
It starts off a bit lame and I thought it was going to be another Nicolas Cage dud. The testosterone stuff at the beginning is a bit naff. and did put me off. But it does get better as the characters begin to take shape and Mr Cage comes through and shows his acting skills. It became an enjoyable film to watch and worth watching again. RJC.

Ok ish !!
A pretty low budget movie seeing as Cage is well past his best nowadays, and Famke Janssen looked awful with her plastic face.....!!!!, but even though it was made on a budget of $500 it was fairly enjoyable none the less.
