Spoiler-free: A really fun Where's Wally book with lots of fun paper things to do too!
This is such a fun and new twist to the classic Where's Wally series and one which I particularly enjoyed! 'Where's Wally Paper Pandemonium' is a small travel sized book that's a bit smaller than A5 in size and has a great material elastic band to help keep it closed which is important as this book comes with a lot of extra bits that could fall out. Inside there are thick matt pages with lots of colourful pictures and text as well as thinner paper pages that are equally colourful, and which have perforations and can be used to create lots of fun paper things. The book on its own has a lot classic Where's Wally things to search for on every page, but it also has a lot of fun activities like games to play with friends (a sort of mini board game), word puzzles and dot-to-dot, to name just a few. The activities to enjoy within the book are great, but it's the paper craft items that are what this book is really about. There are lots of pages made of slightly thinner paper which are easy to remove from the book as they are perforatted and then can be folded up to create all sorts of fun things. There are paper planes, spacecraft (which are like planes but folded differently and more fun!), paper fortune tellers and even some Wally bookmarks! All of the items have Wally characters and images on them and lots of them have fun things to spot within those pictures too.On the back and front inside covers there are pockets which hold even more fun things to do with the extra sheets of paper. There is a lot here and includes one of my favourite things which is a Where's Wally search cube. You create a cube shape from the pieces of paper and then can spot things on a 3D cube! It's certainly a fun twist on the usual Where's Wally searches on a book page and I enjoyed putting together all the fun things. The images are all so fun to look at, so colourful and as with all Where's Wally things there's so much to see that you can be looking at a page or piece of paper for a long time, enjoying all the funny things that are happening with all the characters in the pictures. There's are lots of things to spot including Wally and his friends and a range of other things listed making this book one that you can spend a large amounnt of time just staring at each page!I have always loved Where's Wally books ever since I was a child myself but this new paper twist is a favourite of mine because I have always loved doing paper craft too (even as a kid). It's a fun book on its own with lots of activities for children to do, but with the added paper craft things, it will give anyone enjoying this book simply hours of fun!-Thanks to Walker Books for a free copy for review.

They've got this format perfected now, excellent collection and extras!
Handford moved from the simpler 'search and find' books a while ago, branching out to travel/on the go search/puzzle books based on his wonderful Wally and Friends.I've been impressed with every one I've seen, and there's just as many complimentary thoughts to share this time around.Puzzles galore based on Handford's back catalogue of images and scenes, with the usual crew to find, searches to tick off, and a fab selection of puzzles (examples: silly script, connect the bones, destination everywhere). With a few tweaks for the paper aspect (look for paper airplanes, some extra paper tucked into the endpapers), and several pages of instructions.. and there are lots of cut outs to pull off (no scissors needed) to make a selection of items: paper planes of course, but spaceships, fortune tellers, monsters, finger puppets, cubes, bookmarks! All with a Wally theme in mind.I love that you don't need materials, so you can take this on holiday or complete in the car (just a pen for the puzzless). It all holds together with an elastic and is a handy size.Even at the end, there are extra things to search for, checklists and answers, it's a complete 'keep the kids occupied a bit longer' book, with the bonus of the paper crafts.Would work for younger children with support, probably from age 7 unsupported, with folding and reading instructions. Always a winner. With thanks to Walker Books for providing a sample reading copy.

A book for on the go
I adore the Where's Wally books. They have kept not only myself as an adult occupied for a short while but my kids too, even now they are teenagers they still love these books. In Paper Pandemonium, a book for on the go and small enough to fit in your handbag or backpack, there are multiple things to keep your children/yourself occupied. From puzzles and games to even paper folding, plus the usual Where's Wally spot Wally games. The book stays firmly shut with an elastic around the front, plus has holders both on the inside of the front and back covers for items to go it.It is hardback so sturdy too. Just don't forget the pen so you/your children can fill in the answers (the answers to the puzzles are at the back of the book, so make sure they/you doesn't cheat).I received a free copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed

Fantastic.
What a fantastic idea for a Where’s Wally book, to be able to creat your own things from paper with no scissors or glue needed. Paper aeroplanes, fortune tellers, space ships, bookmarks, finger puppets, and so much more. The book is small and hardbacked with an elastic to keep it closed. Within the inside front and back pocket there are extra sheets of Wally themed paper to carry on making the things within the book. There are also the usual games and puzzles all through the book as well. The front cover says “search, fold and play on the go” I don’t think any of us will be going anywhere for a while for obvious reasons, but this is a book that is also perfect for the long indoor days ahead. Well worth the money.Thank you to Walker Books for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review.
