This is our dream hamster cage. We shopped around because we have been through numerous cages before. Only the best will do for my son's beloved Obsidian. I think the deciding factor was the terror totter. It arrived even before it was due to, I decided to go ahead and set it up before my kids got home from school, because if anything was missing or broken it would have broke the kids heart. It was very, very simple and quick to set up. I was a little leary, since I had read the reviews, that our fat teddy bear hamster may be a tight squeeze, but it is the perfect sized cage for him. I wouldn't add more than one, but our guy is big, fluffy and chunky and he has not had a problem at all. We put him in downstairs and it didn't take him long to venture up the slide. He terrorizing tottered for a few and then went straight for the ball. Now this is my favorite feature, because we don't have a big house and I used to have to move his cage elsewhere, depending on where everyone fell asleep because all our past wheels have been so ridiculously noisy, but this ball doesn't make a peep and I feel soooo much safer having him sleep in a bedroom with one of us. All around thrilled with our purchase.

I really like this cage for my daughters' hamster. I was intimidated by all of the parts that were to be assembled when I pulled it out of the box, but the instructions are super simple. I didn't put the small battery in to "count her calories" on the spin ball but it still fine, she plays in the ball just as well. The only complaint, maybe its just my hamster, is that she vigorously climbs the cage itself as she's trying to escape. Then she calms down. It's only been a few days, maybe she'll stop climbing the all over the place, it noisy and it makes my daughter nervous. Other than than, she slides down the slide and walks up the slide, runs in the ball, chews on her toys, eats and rest. With that said, I feel in due time she'll stop trying to escape the cage.

I bought this cage as a surprise for my daughter for Christmas and let her pick out her hamster. she was so excited and loves the cage and of course because it is pink. I however might look into getting another one this one is just not functional for the hamster we purchased. She picked out a Chinese Dawf hamster which is small but he is not able to go up the Step/Slip attachment to get to the top of the cage. With that being said he just stays in the bottom and it is not that large of a cage to begin with. So the ball at the top does not get much use and the slide just gets in the way when putting in hut/food/ water and treats into the cage.On the bright side it shipped fast and came with all the pieces. It was not hard at all to assemble and I am pleased with it but the design is just not practical for the hamster.

This is a great cage for one hamster, however you run the risk of injuring any other hamsters. The hamster wheel/ball has plastic blades that keep it spinning on it's axis. On each rotation the blades spin with the ball, so the faster your hamster runs the faster the blades spin. You can only imagine what happens when another hamster tries to enter the ball/wheel at the same time. Mine was injured several times, and I had to take the ball and unmount it so now they can't even use it at all.

Cage seems decent enough but the top lid was cracked and split all the way down. My daughter was still excited to use it so I super glued it and we'll hope for the best. Still not happy about receiving a broken product.

I absolutely love this cage! Only issue is the lid closes on yhe wheel, so the wheel wont turn.
