The best charcoal pencil I have found. The value of darkness is essential to artwork.

I love the dense and smooth black that this pencil produces. It's great for transfer work. I've read about the sharpening nightmares, so I didn't even try it. I'll stick to using an exacto and sandpaper when I need to sharpen.

great for really dark darks and not as messy as charcoal.

it's nice to work with,I will order more, it's smooth and feels firm, not like the cheap piece of stick from dry woodyou would use to stir unknown substances you'd find int he middle of the woods when camping.

these are great, really black, large diameter hex shell, the price is a little high but i think its worth it.

The product description says 1 /pkg. But the image clearly shows two. One large and one small. I thought (understandably) that the pack was a thick and a thin pencil. Two pencils. It seems like its intention is to trick the eye. I used to be in package designing and can think of no other reason for the small pic of the second pencil. This is a manufacturers fault. Not the sellers fault though.
